Cell phones are great for pictures and to have in case of emergency, but can get you into trouble if your brain is on the screen and not in the game.
Sure, this is certainly not as serious as texting and driving, yet you still need all of your senses when hunting. Keen eyesight, attentive hearing, and your senses… all at full alert.
