Mother Nature has a dark side, especially when it comes to death.
Whereas we like to think of animals living in harmony, nothing could be farther from the truth. Wolves and wild dogs, for example, don’t kill larger prey — they attack, disable, and then eat their prey while alive. Predatory fish may bite the fins from smaller fry, leaving them floating helplessly until the carnivores return to complete the meal.
