Trail cameras offer a unique glimpse of animal behavior never seen before, and today’s top models have excellent sound and video. It all came in handy as one lucky hunter wound up with this awesome footage of a screaming mountain lion.
Personally, I’ve never heard a mountain lion make a call. If I had, I would have expected it to be similar to a lion or tiger, with a deep guttural growl. As you will see and hear, that is far from the case. These sounds may remind you of some of the strange, eerie tones you hear while sitting in a remote tree stand or ground blind.
Mountain lions are working their way east and may soon follow the lead of the coyote and move into areas where they have not been found in centuries. If you live in that part of the U.S., this video will show you what’s in store for your neck of the woods.
