The Archery Trade Association Show allows dealers and press to see and shoot many new products from primitive gear to the hottest crossbows. I killed two deer last year with Excalibur crossbows and was anxious to try the new Micro 335, a small, light, compact model that still generates plenty of hunting speed. The previous shooter had shot a perfect bull’s-eye, and I wasn’t going to be outdone. Like a golfer’s hole-in-one, I put my carbon bolt exactly into the end of his; it was a perfect Robin Hood moment. Aside from great accuracy, which I expected, the bow had an excellent trigger and good balance, putting it at the top of my bows to field test this year. Here are the specs on the new Micro 335, a bow you’ll want to check out at your nearest pro shop.

At just 5.2 pounds the Micro 335 is ideal for blinds, tree stands, and mobile hunting.

Perfect for blinds, stands or spot-and-stalk hunting, Excalibur’s Micro 335 Crossbow is the most compact recurve hunting crossbow on the market.
