A whiff of doe-in-heat spray can bring a buck on the dead run. No pun intended.

When to Use Deer Urine Spray [VIDEO]

A deer’s nose is amazing. Yesterday I headed to a promising stand which required wading a stream to get there. Thinking the water would wash away any scent on my boots, I wasn’t concerned about spraying them with scent. An hour into the hunt, a doe wandered within ten feet until she reached my entrance trail. Immediately, her head went down, I could see her nostrils twitch (I was on the ground), and she immediately spooked. Had I sprayed my wet boots with HAZE, she may well have acted normally and carried a trailing buck right into my lap.

The new HAZE aerosol deer sprays have my attention because the scent carries in the wind, and I hunt along a borderline which deer must cross to reach my stand. I can’t walk onto that posted land, but the wind blows down the mountain and I can lure them up the steep grade and into my sights. As you might expect, the folks a Mossy Oak have done their homework on this product, as this video clearly shows.
