In daylight hours, savvy hunters stalk their stands, keeping movement and noise to a minimum.

Wind direction is always critical and it’s better to circle a mile than to walk 100 yards with the wind blowing toward approaching deer.

Normally, we post stands over food sources, along well-traveled trails or at bottlenecks, yet how you approach that exciting spot can spell the difference between success and “There’s always next year.”
