Should You Say "Kill" When Describing a Hunt?

Is the word kill now considered a four-letter word even in the hunting world? What word do you use?

In a world of political correctness, should we avoid the word kill when describing a hunt? Killing is a part of hunting, but that word, kill, might make it sound to graphic and hurt someone’s feelings.

Some hunters prefer the word harvest. I grew up on a farm, and we harvested crops.

When I hunt, I kill the animal. That might make some you cringe, but I can’t help it.
