As you make hunting plans for the fall, you may be thinking of vacation time and the best times to hunt in your area. Ironically, scientific data shows that the best days to hunt are work days, so instead of blocking off chunks of time, you may be more successful by planning to hunt during weekdays, perhaps before or after work. QDMA’s Brian Grossman reports on research showing how deer behave differently on weekends than during the week.

As an avid deer hunter who spends the majority of my time on public land, I am always looking for those little nuggets of deer-hunting wisdom to help give me the edge when it comes to shooting a mature buck. While recently attending the Southeast Deer Study Group meeting in Concord, North Carolina, I came across just such a nugget.
