Firearms season traditions are timeless, exciting, and a tremendous opportunity  for both family and friends to enjoy the bonds of the hunt and share deer camp together. It seems that just about anyone, and everyone…are in the woods on opening day! One tactic that works great is that you can use that saturation of hunting pressure to your advantage, even if you have to get in deep and get in early and hope that big mature bucks tries sneaking back to his core area offering you a shot opportunity.  If you have a lack of hunting pressure in your area, you can still take advantage of a buck’s movements from a distance. Scouting more than hunting until conditions are just right. By Hunting the exterior of his core bedding cover, and not in the middle of it you make him feel comfortable and more importantly making the does around him comfortable.
