The whitetail mating season has arrived.  Although the rut brings joy and great opportunity to hunters across the nation, insurance companies and first responders have a far different view.  Because deer chase as part of their mating ritual, a driver may not see them on the highway until it’s too late.

Minimize Risk

Deer crossing signs are often the butt of jokes, yet motorists are wise to head the warnings.  If you drive in these areas, reduce your speed, use your high-beams when possible, and stay extra alert.  if you see one whitetail, expect more and slow down.

Fast First Responders

Speed in critical when responding to an emergency and our firemen, police, and ambulance services do not have the luxury of a safe approach in whitetail areas.
