Video Game & Fish Report: “Why Not Feed Deer?”

Thus far, the 2016-17 winter has been uncharacteristically mild. New England and the far northern tier have received snow but the Mid-Atlantic and South have little to none. Deep snow can be a tremendous stress-or on wildlife and the public has requested wildlife officials to conduct supplemental feeding to help deer survive. Surprisingly, Game & Fish said, “No,” a response that may sound cruel and unhelpful to deer facing starvation.
